Máiréad Harte MISCP MCSP BSc Physio

Máiréad Harte is a native of Cork City and qualified in 1993 BSc in Physiotherapy from Edinburgh where she was awarded best student and best project in that year. Her thesis was on “Biofeedback and the effect on quadriceps contraction”.

She has over 18 years experience, after qualifying she went to London and worked in both public and private hospitals.

She specialised in sports injuries at Harley Street and Wellington Hospitals. She has a firm commitment to continued education and has a special interest in movement analysis, identification of injury source, treatment and exercise prescription to avoid recurrence.


On returning to Cork in 2000 she founded “Carrigaline Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic”, having been fortunate enough to work with high level athletes and Olympians.

She was chairperson of the Southern branch of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapist from 2005 to 2008. She is an avid GAA and rugby supporter and enjoys running and tennis for health and relaxation.
