What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy uses a variety of techniques to help your muscles and joints work to their full potential.

It can help repair damage by speeding up the healing process and decrease pain and stiffness. Physiotherapy has an important role in rehabilitation, education and exercise prescription to prevent re-injury and avoid injury in the first place.

What does it involve?

  • Assessment
  • Diagnosis
  • Explanation
  • Treatment
  • Home exercise programme
  • Advice and all based around your lifestyle

Our practice has a firm commitment to manual therapy and each person is given an exercise programme personalised to their condition and lifestyle at their first session. Electrotherapy, acupuncture, orthotics, advice and education are given as adjuncts to hands-on treatment.

We liaise with GP’s, consultants, occupational health, personal trainers, coaches etc. as relevant to ensure seamless return to full activity in the shortest time frame possible.
